About The Prototypes Dance Team

Founded in 2011 under the direction of Nigel Cortez and Sonali Samarasena, this eclectic group of individuals hail from all over the SoCal dance community. The Prototypes aim to breathe new life into the foundations of our dance culture, such as Popping and Waacking, while reinventing and improving itself with each performance.
