Stephanie Lin joined the DanceLova Dance Academy faculty in February 2013. While teaching young children the joy of dance, Stephanie also makes time in her schedule to be a dancer in two local performing companies. In January 2015, she became the lead in the academy’s Early Childhood Dance Program (ECDP) — a role she stepped up to, aiming to expand and refine the fast-growing dance program for DanceLova’s youngest students.
Stephanie took her very first dance class when she was 4 years old and immediately fell in love.
She trained under the Royal Academy of Dance method, passing all graded and vocational level exams. She also trained as an apprentice with Peninsula Ballet Theater in San Mateo, CA, under the artistic direction of Carlos Carvajal and Michael Lowe. In 2008, Stephanie moved to Southern California to obtain her Associate’s Degree in Dance from Irvine Valley College. While there, she had the privilege of working with notable choreographers such as Marie de la Palme, Jenny Backhaus, Sarah Swenson, Nate Hodges, and Francisco Gella. Stephanie has had the opportunity to perform and teach in Boston, Utah, Arkansas, Minnesota, Alaska, and Paris. Currently, Stephanie dances professionally throughout OC and LA with Emergent Dance Company directed by Megan Pulfer, and with FUSE Dance Company directed by Joshua D. Estrada-Romero.
Stephanie has ample training in multiple dance forms and techniques, however, her main focus is in Ballet and Modern dance. Since 2012, she has been teaching in the Orange County area a variety of classes including Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Cheer, Tumbling, Chinese Dance, Zumba, Creative Dance, and Parent & Me. Her ultimate passion is building a dance foundation for children while creating a fun and safe experience for them.
Stephanie is excited to share all that she has learned and guide a new generation of dancers through teaching Ballet and coaching our youngest DanceLova competition students.
