Ivy began her training in dance at the early age of 6 in Taiwan. She and the art of dance were an instant harmonious match. Her early training in Russian Classical Ballet, Contemporary, and cultural Chinese dance set the foundation for what was to become her major in her academic career as well as passion behind her lifelong work. The continual growth of her love for dance, talent, and experience led her into the National Taiwan University of Arts, the same prestigious academy that produced the 78th and 85th Oscar Best Director award winner Ang Lee.

Following her graduation in 2003, Ivy went on to perform ballet and contemporary dance for Rejoyce Dance Company as well as cultural dance for many dance companies around the world.
Her thirteen collective years in the career of educating students of all age groups extend through her work experience in stage productions and dance institutions both in Asia and the United States, including Joffrey Ballet School.
Among Ivy’s choreographic works created for cultural dances, In The Fields Of Hope, Charming Girls, Seeking Moonlight, The Wei Culture’s Eloquence, Splashing In The River, Spellbound By Drumbeats, The Passion-Filled Voyage To The Sky, Wedding Song, and Tibetan Girls, numerous of pieces have landed awards in national dance competitions.
