Heidi Drinkward joined the DanceLova Dance Academy administration team in August 2013. A business professional and life-long Tap dancer, she brings a unique understanding of what a dance academy’s rapid expansion demands from a studio team. Her love for dance has drawn her to DanceLova where she now harnesses her skills to help the studio administration team push the brand to its next stage.
Heidi is a native of Orange County and fell in love with dance at the young age of 3. She grew up training and competing throughout the U.S. in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Lyrical. When Heidi was 10, she joined the tap production company Tap Overload which initiated her appreciation for the art of Tap. Throughout her years with the company Heidi has enjoyed many opportunities to perform including tapping in China for a national television show.
While obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing at Chapman University, Heidi continued to pursue dance. When she wasn’t in the classroom or the studio, she spent her time entertaining guests at Disneyland as a parade performer.
After college Heidi was awarded a scholarship for the summer training program at Jimmie DeFore Dance Center where she was able to train extensively in many styles of dance, but ultimately decided to focus on Tap and Contemporary.
Today, Heidi enjoys working as part of the studio administrative team at DanceLova as well as teaching dance to children throughout Orange County. She also continues to perform with Tap Overload.
