Emily Rodriguez joined the DanceLova Dance Academy faculty in September 2015. The JUNTOS veteran is helping her dance students further their development in Ballet. Her fresh teaching method is adding the required dimension to a more comprehensive learning experience for young dance students at the Irvine dance school.
Emily began her training in dance very early at the age of 3 in her hometown of Fresno, CA. She is trained in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz and Modern, but has studied Hip Hop, Tap, and Aerial Dance. Emily continued her Ballet and Pointe training through her years in high school under the direction of Carla Stallings-Lippert. Upon taking classes at the local community college, she became and served as principle dancer for 2 years for Fresno Dance Collective, Fresno’s resident modern dance company.
In the fall of 2011, Emily moved to the Bay Area to study dance at the Alonzo King LINES Ballet BFA program at Dominican University of California. While at Dominican, Emily was an active member of JUNTOS Collective teaching outreach classes for younger children and performing throughout the Bay Area and parts of Central America. Following graduation in May of 2014, she moved to the Orange County area to continue teaching and her pursuit of her career in dance.
Emily Rodriguez not only currently teaches Ballet at DanceLova’s Irvine location, but is also a beautiful dance performer at Disneyland in the parades department.
