Anne Carr joined the DanceLova Dance Academy faculty in February 2015. The Long Beach native comes to us just in time as the dance school gears up for its 2015 expansion plans. Miss Carr brings her extensive dance experience acquired at numerous conservatories across the country to benefit the ever-growing number of DanceLova Ballet students.
Born and raised in Long Beach, CA, Anne Carr began dancing at the age of three. She completed her early training at Long Beach Ballet Arts Center, later moving to the Maple Conservatory of Dance in Irvine, California. She spent several summers studying at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, as well as at the American Dance Festival at Duke University in North Carolina. In 2014, Anne graduated with Honors from the University of California, Irvine with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance and a B.A. in Literary Journalism.
Anne has performed works by notable choreographers such as Donald McKayle, Bill T. Jones, Jiri Kylian, Idan Cohen, Alex Ketley, and Summer Lee Rhatigan, among others.
Anne is thrilled to be sharing her love of dance through dance instruction with her Ballet and Dance Gym’s Classical Ballet students at DanceLova Dance Academy.
