Andrea Marian joined the DanceLova Dance Academy administration team in January 2013. A former Saddleback Dance Collective president, Andrea now has her focus set on overseeing the Irvine dance school’s directives.
Andrea’s life-long love affair with dance was sparked at age 10 at Capistrano Valley Dance Center, where she began her dance training. Although she is primarily a classically-trained ballet dancer, she has extensive training in modern, lyrical, and jazz from studios including Jimmie DeFore, Saddleback Dance Center, and Pacific Coast Academy of Dance. Andrea has attended several Summer Intensives throughout California and has performed in ballets such as Nutcracker, Coppélia, and Don Quixote.
At age 16, Andrea began teacher-training and started teaching preschool-age children and has continued instructing students from ages 18 months through adult. She found a passion for dance education and attended several more training sessions for dance teachers through the Cecchetti Society of dance in addition to performing.
From 2003-2006 Andrea was a member of Naked Feet modern company and performed in several community performances. She was also elected president of Saddleback Dance Collective from 2003-2006. Andrea has combined her teaching, performance, and creative skills to develop many national award-winning dance teams as well as to assist in building numerous dance programs throughout Orange County. She also holds a BFA in Visual Communication with an emphasis in Graphic Design.
Today, Andrea Marian leverages her dance industry experience to contribute to DanceLova’s operations. As Studio Administrator, she spreads her passion, energy and care to students of all ages through her eloquent administration and coordination of the dance school’s activities.
